Man Who Allegedly Tried To Get Into Brinks Truck While Wearing Hazmat Suit Arrested

A Brunswick man was arrested Tuesday after police say he attempted to rob a Brinks armored truck last week while wearing a yellow hazmat suit and a black face mask.

Jon Baribeau, 48, is accused of attempting to break into the truck while it was parked outside the Camden Hannaford.

Police said he fled on foot to the rear of the shopping center after he was unable to open the rear door of the truck.

Baribeau was arrested Tuesday in Brunswick and taken to Knox County Jail, according to the Portland Press Herald.

He was charged with attempted felony theft.
