Clothing Made In Maine, and Not Just Assembled, in Farmington
If you still believe in the American Dream, you need to know this.
If you remember the cries back a few decades ago of “Buy America”, you need to know this.
The American Dream, in all its glory, is alive and emanating from downtown Farmington.
The company Origin began in 2011. It was founded by Pete Roberts. With the help of family and friends, a forest was cleared to build a timber-frame factory. The sole purpose for Origin was to manufacture Jiu-Jitsu gear.
They wanted it to be good. Not just good, but the best. And it had to be done in Maine. It was. And it still is.
The headquarters are in downtown Farmington, and now their goal is to be America’s next big brand. They make shirts and pants now too and other apparel and outerwear, and they don’t just assemble the clothing in Maine. They don’t import the denim. They manufacture it.
Origin is also the first brand to make footwear in Franklin County in the past 30 years.
Durable goods, heirloom-quality all made “in the woods of Maine”
Truly American-made. Maine made.
Yes, the American dream is very much alive and making forward progress right under our noses.
Origin is one of the largest companies in Farmington and their mission is so ‘old school’ welcome. American made and manufactured. And they believe in community and a local workforce to ensure the circle is complete. They are restoring the pride and soul of American manufacturing.
Refreshing words to all Mainer’s ears. Crafted in America. Built to work. Made for life.
