The man who was critically injured on Thanksgiving when his home exploded is the President of the Waterville Rotary.

Oakland, Maine, Man Critically Injured in a House Explosion on Thanksgiving

Cliff Hannon, 66, remains hospitalized after an explosion on Thanksgiving destroyed his Oakland home. Hannon was alone in the house when the blast happened at around 3:00 p.m. on Thursday.

According to the Waterville Sunrise Rotary, Hannon is in critical care, with burns to 45% of his body.

Investigators with the State Fire Marshal's Office say the cause of the explosion was likely a propane leak. They're looking into propane-powered appliances, since it doesn't appear to have been an issue with the main propane tanks.

The house was destroyed, and neighboring houses sustained some damage, as well.

Now, the Waterville Sunrise Rotary seeks the community's help for Hannon's family as they help him navigate his recovery.

A post on the Rotary's Facebook page describes how the other members feel about their leader.
