A Brooks woman is facing drug charges after a traffic stop in Burnham.
Brooks, Maine Woman Arrested on Drug Charges Had a Previous Arrest
Aimee Brown, 41, of Brooks, was the subject of an investigation into illegal drug sales when she was arrested in Burnham.
She's charged with unlawful trafficking of Schedule W drugs and violation of conditions of release.

No bail was allowed because Brown had been released after an earlier indictment for illegal drug trafficking and conspiracy to traffic drugs.
Maine Drug Agents Arrest a Brooks Woman on Drug Charges After Traffic Stop
Maine Department of Public Safety Spokesperson Shannon Moss says the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency and Waldo County Sheriff's Office had been investigating drug sales in the town of Brooks, which allegedly included undercover purchases of cocaine from Brown.
On October 7, 2026, the suspect's vehicle was stopped in Burnham, once drug agents positively identified her as the sole occupant of a Subaru Outback.
Once the vehicle was stopped, agents placed her under arrest and searched the vehicle. However, no evidence was found.
Maine Drug Agents Seize Cocaine and Fentanyl During Burnham Traffic Stop
At this point, Brown indicated that she had hidden drugs on/in her person.
She was taken to the Waldo County Correctional Facility, where she voluntarily turned over the drugs.
Agents seized 83 grams of cocaine and 20 grams of suspected fentanyl.
Officials expect more arrests in this case.
