
Ellsworth, Maine Crash Into a House Kills Orrington Man
An Orrington man was killed, and a Dedham man was injured when a vehicle crashed into a house overnight.

Ellsworth Police have identified the deceased as Paul Meservey, 23, of Orrington.
The driver, Landon Rockwell, 19, of Dedham, was hospitalized after the crash.
A 911 call to the Hancock Regional Communications Center Thursday reported the single-vehicle crash on Main Street, near the intersection with Bucksport and Surry Roads.

Ellsworth Police, fire, and emergency medical personnel responded to the scene just before 1:30 am and found a vehicle that had struck a residence.
Officials say a preliminary investigation indicates that Rockwell was traveling eastbound on Bucksport Road, approaching the intersection, when he lost control of the 2018 GMC Sierra he was driving.
The vehicle left the roadway, struck a residence on the opposite side of Main Street, and then struck a second residence.

Rockwell was ejected from the vehicle and transported by ambulance to Maine Coast Memorial Hospital before being transferred by LifeFlight to Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor.
Paul Meservey, who was a passenger in the vehicle, sustained fatal injuries in the crash.
This crash remains under investigation.
