The property owner noticed the fire in a part of the building where the flooring had been removed.

Fire officials say combustible organic material, like leaves and other debris, had accumulated beneath the building.

Over time, those materials had dried out and become readily combustible.

When workers cut the floor, the organic materials ignited.

State Fire Marshal Investigators determined the fire was accidental and associated with the renovation work.
