Local Man Dies In Mattawamkeag Crash

Police are investigating a single-vehicle crash that took the life of a Medway man.

The crash on Medway Road in Mattawamkeag was reported Saturday around 8:42 p.m.

The Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office reported Monday that Steve Smith, 51, was killed in the crash. Smith was the only occupant of the vehicle.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
