The Cumberland County Sheriff's Office says an inmate remains at large after walking away from a job site in Portland.

Officials say 21-year-old Brandon Fletcher of Hollis was part of a work release program at the Cumberland County Sheriff's Community Corrections Center. He was working at his job site on Washington Avenue on Monday when he asked permission to go to a Cumberland Farms, located nearby. His supervisor told him it was okay, and Fletcher walked to the store. A search was launched sometime later when he failed to return to the site but, at last report, he had not been found.

Fletcher was in jail for Probation Revocation and officials say is considered a low level security threat. Anyone with information on his whereabouts, or who thinks they may have seen him, is asked to contact the Cumberland County Jail at (207) 774-5939 or (207) 774-1444.
