Crews were called to a fire early this morning at a vacant building in Hermon's Freedom Industrial Park.

The call came in a little after 4 a.m., and WVII-TV reports that the first firefighters on the scene reported flames were already visible above the roof of the building. Mutual aid from other communities was called in immediately to help with the fire.

Officials say the blaze was concentrated in the back end of the vacant building. Crews were able to get inside and keep it from extending into the front part of the building. No one was injured in the fire that crews were still dealing with at 7:30 this morning.

The State Fire Marshal's office was called to investigate what sparked the blaze.
