FOG Products Opens in the Dexter Shoe Building in Bangor

Dexter Shoe Factory Outlet Building in Bangor Has a New Tenant. The address is 465 Hogan Road.

The new tenant FOG Products opens today, July 21st.

The previous tenant was Lee Auto

And before Lee, the building has a history. This building may forever be known as the Dexter Shoe Factory Outlet Building.

The building was originally built by Harold Alfond. He was the owner of Dexter Shoe which he later incorporated into Super Shoes.

It was the home of Dexter Shoe Factory Outlet, then Super Shoes, and until recently Lee Credit Auto.

Harold Alfond owned the building until March of 2010. At that time, it was sold to Hamover Associates, a local developer. They leased the property to Lee Credit in July of 2010 and the automobile dealer was there until last fall.

Since May 2023, if you looked closely at the windows in the building, you saw this sign

And now FOG Products has opened a retail store in the famous building often still referred to as the Dexter Shoe Outlet Factory.

What is Fog Products?

Fog Products is owned and operated by Jenn Witmer.

The company deals with medical cannabis and delivery to medical patients who have their cards. Fog Products has been in business for over 4 years, as a delivery service, and is the largest delivery service in the area. They began the business when Covid started and now they will also become a retail outlet for medical cannabis.

And they are doing this in a well-known Bangor building. Jenn says:

We found this building by chance and by luck and now we’re going to go forward with a retail store. But we are not going to change our business model, the delivery service will continue. We are just expanding things going forward.

So, a building that started as a business very fitting for the times, will continue to do so.

Jenn continued:
