Tuesday's storm is causing some schools and businesses to delay their start time today.

Roads are slushy in places, icy in spots, and there's a fair amount of standing water on the roads. Take it easy if you're going out today. Traveling is better today than yesterday, but you'll still want to take it slow and give a little extra time to get to your destination.

A few schools have delayed their openings today, to give crews time to clear parking lots and treat the roads. Here's what we have so far:

  • Augusta Schools - 2 hour delay
  • Maine Academy of Natural Sciences in Hinckley - 2 hour delay
  • RSU 2 (Hallowell) - 2 hour delay
  • RSU 19 (Newport) - 1 hour delay
  • SAD 4 (Guilford) - 2 hour delay and no morning Pre-K
  • SAD 59 (Madison) - 2 hour delay

  • Spruce Run Womancare Alliance in Dover-Foxcroft - opening delayed until 10 a.m.
