A State Police cruiser's collision with a moose in northern Maine is a good reminder to brush up on how best to react in these situations.

Trooper Castonguay was traveling on the interstate in Island Falls on Wednesday night, when a moose walked out in front of his vehicle. He was unable to avoid hitting the moose, but luckily escaped serious injury. State Police remind residents to be on the lookout for them, and familiarize yourself with the best safety practices.
