Coast Guard Searching For Missing 79-Year-Old Man

The Coast Guard is searching the waters off Friendship for a missing elderly man.

According to the U.S. Coast Guard Northeast's Twitter account, 79-year-old Baruch Roberts was last seen Sunday morning. Crews are looking for him near Allen Island, which is off the coast of Friendship, about halfway to Monhegan Island.

Maine crews are being assisted in the search by a helicopter and crew from Cape Cod. Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to contact the Coast Guard at (207) 767-0303.
