Burnham, Howland Women Arrested In Separate Meth Busts
Women from Burnham and Howland were arrested last week after the discoveries of two suspected meth labs.
Amber Nayock, 29, of Burnham was arrested when state police went to her mobile home on North Horseback Road Saturday to conduct a bail check and discovered an active meth lab, the Maine Department of Public Safety said in a news release Monday.
Nayock was charged with trafficking in methamphetamine and transported to the Waldo County Jail.
Kelly Moore, 52, of Howland was arrested Thursday after the Howland Fire Department responded to a report of smoke and a strange odor coming from an apartment on Westside Lane.
Firefighters suspected a meth lab was present and contacted the Penobscot County Sheriff's Office. The release said the MDEA Meth Lab Team was also called and found the makings of a meth lab inside the home.
She was charged with aggravated operation of a meth lab. The charge was aggravated because the suspected lab was discovered in a multi-unit building.
Moore was taken to the Penobscot County Jail.
