A drug bust in Brunswick resulted in the arrest of a Bronx, New York woman, who's accused of bringing crack cocaine into Maine.

Maine Drug Enforcement agents searched an apartment at 27 Perryman Drive in Brunswick on Wednesday evening, as part of a months-long investigation into the importation and sale of crack cocaine. They found five people in the residence, including the tenant, Desiree Swisher. Three of the people were arrested:

  • Unique Douglin, 33 of Bronx, New York, Unlawful Trafficking of Crack Cocaine
  • Desiree Swisher, 36, Brunswick, Unlawful Possession of Crack Cocaine
  • Dale Havens, 39, Brunswick, Probation Violation

All three were taken to the Cumberland County Jail. Douglin's bail was set at $5,000 cash and Swisher's was set at $500. Havens was not given bail because of the probation violation charge. Agents seized 80 grams of crack cocaine that was ready for sale in individual packages, $4,500 in suspected drug proceeds, and additional items indicative of drug trafficking. The street value of the drugs is $10,000.
