BREAKING: Chick-fil-A Sauce Shortage Is Happening

One of the nation's most coveted sauces that is always in high demand may be hard to find now-a-days.

According to ABC7 WTRF Philadelphia, Chick-fil-A has sent out an email to customers stating that it is having an industry-wide supply chain shortage of their sauce, among other things, and that they are sorry about the inconvenience. To combat the shortage, they will be less generous with the amount of packets of sauce they will be handing out.

Here are more details for the hardcore Chick-fil-A customers out there. They will be giving out:

• One sauce per entrée
• Two sauces per meal
• Three sauces per 30 count nugget

We here in Maine haven't had much history with this coveted sauce since Maine's first Chick-fil-A restaurant came to Bangor in 2016. But, since then, Bangorians and the area surrounding the Queen City could surely testify that this news causes a little bit more discomfort in an era of discomfort.

This special sauce is a bit of a mystery, but it is basically a combination of BBQ sauce and honey mustard sauce.

If you really need to have more of the Chick-fil-a sauce you could certainly try to scour the internet for a copycat recipe. Here's one from YouTube:

You can also search online for who is selling the 16 ounce bottles near you. I found some available for pick-up at my local Target for $3.99 and at a nearby Walmart for pick-up now for $3.49.

You have options to get your sauce, even if it's less of this great sauce. Hang in there. We will get through this.
