Body Found In Oxford Confirmed To Be Missing Man

Police have confirmed that the remains found just off a road in Oxford are those of a local man who had been reported missing.

Oxford Police told the Sun Journal that the body found in the woods off Route 121 on Saturday is confirmed to be Eric Berube. He was last seen on April 15th, on the Gore Road in Oxford. Officials say he was heading toward Otisfield, and that's where the search has focused.

The case remains under investigation and the man's body was sent to the State Medical Examiner's Office. So far, police have not commented on cause of death.
