Benton Crash Claims Life Of Local Woman

A crash Tuesday afternoon in Benton took the life an Albion woman.

Pauline Richards, 81, died when the pickup truck she was riding in crashed on Albion Road, State Police Corporal Christopher Carr said in a statement.

The driver of the truck, June Hayward, 85, was driving west on Albion Road when she lost control of the vehicle, which left the roadway and overturned.

Police did not immediately say whether Hayward was hurt in the accident.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
