The Bangor Police Department and Police Explorers will host a Halloween party tonight, in the station and museum.

Between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. tonight, the lobby of the Bangor Police Department and the Law Enforcement Museum will be open to the public, and decorated for Halloween. According to a post on the Department's Facebook page, there will be candy, goody bags, and games for the kids, as well as a drawing for those much-sought-after Duck of Justice t-shirts.

The Bangor Police Explorers Post #1889 will also have a table set up to promote their ongoing project 'Numbering Our City.' The Explorers program is an educational project that gives students interested in law enforcement some hands-on experience. In Bangor, they're currently encouraging Bangor residents to put visible house numbers on their residences, to make it easier for first responders to find them in an emergency.

The public is invited to stop by tonight, meet some of Bangor's Officers and Explorers, get their picture taken with the DOJ, and have some spooktacular fun. They're really hoping lots of folks will stop by in costume. Members of Bangor PD will be dressed up as...well....police officers.

Bangor Police wish everyone a Happy and safe Halloween, and remind drivers to be alert and aware of trick or treating children tonight.
