A man wanted in connection to several rapes in Massachusetts in the 1990's was taken into custody this week on MDI. Police say 61-year-old Ivan Keith was living in Maine under an assumed name after fleeing Massachusetts 16 years ago. He was tracked down by DNA and arrested earlier this month.

Once again, Mainers are reminded to make sure their pets’ rabies vaccinations are up to date after two dogs in Bath were exposed to a rabid skunk. The dogs had been vaccinated and so were given booster shots and put in temporary quarantine at home.

Winslow police are warning of counterfeit 100 dollar bills currently being circulated in the area. Officials say the paper feels strange, and Chinese characters can be seen on the front or on the back that translate to the word prop.

A benefit ride this Saturday will remember a woman who died last week in a motorcycle accident in Bangor and raise money for her two children. Brewer High Schooler Matt Gross will once again be riding his bicycle this Friday from Brewer to Passadumkeag and back, to raise money for two local animal shelters.
