Bangor Among Nation’s Best Cities For Air Quality

Bangor is among the U.S. cities with the cleanest air, according to a new report from the American Lung Association.

The group released its 2019 "State of the Air" report on Wednesday.

Bangor was one of only six "cleanest" cities in the country, ranking high on lists for ozone, short-term and long-term particle pollution.

Bangor was tied for cleanest among cities for ozone and 24-hour particle pollution. It also ranked among the best cities for long-term particle pollution, ranking 179 out of 187 metropolitan areas.
