Maine police agencies are investigating a series of shootings at power substations in three different communities.
Fairfield, Maine Man Allegedly Shot CMP Substations in Three Communities
Thomas Welch, 54, of Fairfield, turned himself into the Winslow Police Department on Sunday.

Before his surrender, police in several communities were investigating reports of gunshots at electrical substations in Kennebec County, between midnight and 4:15 am.
Three Maine Electrical Substations Belonging to CMP Were Shot At on Sunday
At approximately 12:15 am, Maine State Police Troopers responded to the Coopers Mills substation of Barton Road in Windsor for a report of shots fired.
In Winslow, officers from the Winslow Police Department responded to the substation on Benton Avenue at approximately 3:59 am.

Then at approximately 4:15 am, officers from the Augusta Police Department responded to a report of shots fired at the substation located on Capital Street in Augusta.
At each of the three locations, Maine Department of Public Safety Spokesperson Shannon Moss says officers found evidence consistent with gunfire and damage to the installations.
No one was hurt in the incidents.
Fairfield, Maine Man Faces Charges for Allegedly Shooting at 3 CMP Substations
Police interviewed Mr. Welch and then took him into custody at the Winslow Police Department.
He was taken to the Kennebec County Jail, where he was charged with aggravated criminal mischief and aggravated reckless conduct.
These incidents remain under investigation.
