Anson Man Dies In Sunday Morning House Fire

Anson fire officials say one man was killed in a house fire early Sunday morning.

The fire on Moore Street was called in at around 10:30 and crews from several departments responded. Officials say the fire was fully involved when crews arrived, but was contained in just over an hour. The home is a total loss. WVII-TV reports one man was killed in the blaze. His name is being withheld, pending notification of family. No firefighters were injured.

The State Fire Marshal's Office will now work to determine how the fire started.
