Another Moose-Vehicle Collision Reported In Northern Maine
Maine State Police responded to a motor vehicle accident involving a moose Monday night in Woodland.
A 2004 Chevrolet SUV operated by Fay Douglas, 31, of Woodland crashed into the animal on Woodland Center Road just before 9 p.m.
Police said Douglas was wearing a seat belt and was not hurt in the accident.
Her vehicle sustained significant damage and had to be towed from the scene.
The animal was killed in the accident.
It was at least the second moose-vehicle accident in Maine since Saturday, when a Fort Kent woman suffered critical injuries after her car struck a moose on Interstate 95 near Howland.
