A Day in the Life of Bangor, Maine Police – Drugs, Warrants, and Theft

In a 24-hour period, Bangor Police arrested 4 people in 3 different crimes, including one who couldn't be incarcerated.

Bangor, Maine Man Allegedly Stole 2 iPads From a Construction Site

Being a cop in any community offers a variety of challenges, dealing with people under the influence, tracking down criminals, and so much more.

The first of these three cases began on August 26,2026, when Bangor Police tracked down a man who allegedly stole two iPads from a construction site.

Terrance Thomas, 31, transient, faces several charges:

• Violation of conditions of release
• Receiving stolen property
• Criminal trespass

Just before 3 pm on Wednesday, Bangor Police were notified by a security employee for a construction project on Main Street that the site had been burglarized overnight and two iPads had been stolen.

Officer Beswick was able to identify and track down Thomas and place him under arrest.

Bangor Police say Thomas allegedly attempted to use an ECOATM to get money for the iPads at two different locations.

In a second unrelated case, officers arrested a man who they coudn't admit to the jail.

James Raynes, 42, transient, is charged with criminal trespass.

On August 27, 2026, an officer observed a man in a park who appeared to be under the influence of drugs

When the officer learned that Raynes had previously received a criminal trespass warning for the park, he placed him under arrest, and transported him to the Penobscot County Jail.

When they arrived, however, it was determined that Raynes' impairment was too significant to be incarcerated, so he was taken to a local hospital and issued a written summons.

Bangor, Maine Woman Arrested for Aggravated Drug Trafficking After Traffic Stop

In a third, unrelated case, a Bangor woman faces felony trafficking charges after a traffic stop.

Emily Gillotti, 32, of Bangor was a passenger in a vehicle on Ohio Street on Wednesday afternoon, when Officer Ellis conducted a traffic stop.

Ellis had learned that Gillotti was in the vehicle and knew that she had an active warrant

Once the vehicle stopped, Officer Ellis realized Kimberly Andrews, 59, of Bangor was a passenger in the vehicle, and also had an active warrant.

Both women were arrested.

Gillotti was charged with aggravated trafficking of Schedule W drugs after illegal narcotics were found in a search.
