Bucket list item, to maybe fulfill this summer vacation.

My favorite sport is Hockey. No doubt. Yes, I grew up in Canada and played the game, but I’ve lived in America for the 2nd half of my life and my love of hockey has not wavered.

As a kid growing up, my favorite hockey player was Bobby Orr. He's why I wore the number 4.  Before the admiration for Bobby Orr, there was Bobby Hull, and Eddie Shack.

I have met Bobby Hull. Had a nice conversation with him once as we sat in the boarding area waiting for an airplane.

Eddie Shack is also on the list of NHL hockey players I have met. He was extremely shy, but very loud and funny in the locker room before an Oldtimers hockey game I got to play in.

But I have never met Bobby Orr.

And neither of us are getting any younger.

On social media, I see fan photos of people that run into Bobby Orr and get selfies with him. He’s always smiling. And the comments from the fans are always positive. They met a hero.

Bucket List.

I’d like to meet Bobby Orr.

With the internet one can often determine someone who is in the public eye's schedule. And there are always people that post photos of meeting someone like Bobby within minutes of it occurring, so you know where he had lunch. Or where he is making a commercial appearance. Or where he is vacationing.

I’ve travelled to many, many places in North America and also some spots around the world.

Maybe it’s time to vacation in Boston and search for Robert Gordon Orr.

Not a stalker. Okay maybe a little bit.

I'll wear his Junior team's jersey while I try to find him.
