Two men are facing charges for burglarizing vehicles in Bangor. The suspects were caught early this morning after a resident of the Bradford Commons apartment complex on Husson Avenue called police and reported seeing two men going through people’s cars in the parking lot.

Police were notified just before 3:30 this morning. The caller was able to provide a very accurate description of what the men were wearing, so responding officers were able to spot them pretty quickly. After an investigation, the men were arrested and are facing multiple charges.

Corey Stevens, 22  years old of Bangor, is charged with one count each of Burglary to a Motor Vehicle and Theft. He also had an outstanding warrant for his arrest, which was served

Scott Fleeman, 20 years old of Bangor, is charged with one count each of Burglary to a Motor Vehicle and Theft.

Investigating officer Kim Donnell was able to develop probable cause to charge each man with one car burglary and she recovered property from that crime. She also recovered many other items that appear to have been stolen, as well. If you were the victim of a Burglary to a Motor Vehicle, you’re encouraged to call the Bangor Police Department to make a report at 947-7384. They may have your missing property.

Sergeant Cathy Rumsey said in a press release today that often people don’t report crimes like this because they don’t think it’s worth reporting. She says even if they can’t solve your particular case, it’s worth letting them know so they can increase patrols in that part of town.
