Anna Kendrick will star in the six-part action thriller “Embassy,” which is set to stream on MGM+ in the United States.

Kendrick plays an American diplomat alongside Sam Heughan as her British ex-fiancé and J.K. Simmons as the U.S. ambassador, according to Variety.

MGM+ executive Michael Wright described “Embassy” as a fast-paced thriller featuring a strong cast and creative team.

He said the series highlights the network’s focus on bringing classic storytelling to modern audiences.

Originally launched as Epix in 2009, the premium television network and streaming service was renamed MGM+ in January 2023.

Its programming includes a mix of movies, live channels, and original series such as “From,” “Godfather of Harlem,” “The Institute,” and “The Westies.”
