Town Of Hudson Breaks Ground For Veterans Memorial

The group that's been planning a Veterans Memorial for the town of Hudson chose the perfect weekend to break ground.

It's Memorial weekend, when the nation pauses to remember those men and women of the military who made the ultimate sacrifice. Who never made it home to spend this unofficial kickoff of the summer season with their families.

So, it seems appropriate that the construction of a memorial that will honor Veterans from every branch of the military began this weekend. A group of Hudson residents has been fundraising for better than a year, hoping to make their vision of a memorial a reality. And finally, it's coming to fruition.

Gordon Contracting and Jonathan Trask have donated their time to the project, and started digging over the Memorial weekend. The progress of the project will be updated on the Hudson Veterans Memorial Park Facebook page.
