Kids of all ages are invited to a Touch a Truck fair this Saturday that will benefit a summer camp for children and adults with disabilities.

Camp Capella's Touch a Truck fair is great for everyone who thinks it would be fun to sit behind the wheel of a firetruck, or who wants to learn more about what it's like to sit high up in the cab of a semi. There will be lots of emergency vehicles, truckers' rigs, and construction vehicles. And let's not forget the military vehicles and the Kool Bus, which is a school bus that's been completely converted into a recreational vehicle. There will also be plenty of owners and drivers on hand to answer questions about their vehicles and the jobs they do.

In addition to the vehicles, the Touch a Truck fair will feature food, brought over fresh from Dysart's Restaurant, which is just down the road from the event's Speedway 95 location. There will be bounce houses, face painting, and super heroes too, so plenty of fun for everyone.

Proceeds from Saturday's event will benefit Camp Capella, which serves children and adults with disabilities. The camp on Phillips Lake in Dedham is making some improvements, and the money raised will help ensure that more campers get to enjoy them next summer.

The Camp Capella Touch a Truck Fair will be held Saturday, September 15th, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Speedway 95, on the Odlin Road in Bangor. Admission is $5 per person or $20 for a family of 6.
