Gifted Belfast videographer Jeremy Grant introduces us to pro foragers, John and his father Daryl. They'll take us fiddleheadin' in an undisclosed location. Then after they clean 'em up, we can see how the various dishes turn out at a local restaurant. This is bona fide Maine farm to table in action right here.

The song by Lovell's Flooded Cellar is simply and aptly titled, "April in Maine". The month that can't seem to make up it's mind. One day it's 70 and the next day it's 50.

The Flooded Cellar boys hilariously lament the stinky business of making sure the house stays warm when the fuel is all gone. "Oil tanks empty and I'm low on cash so I gotta go make that Diesel Dash!"

Now let's have some fun with a band from Lovell in Oxford County. They call themselves Flooded Cellar and when the warm weather finally arrives they enjoy fishing on Kezar Lake. They also like to stroll through the tall grass in wide open spaces and hike the wooded trails. Along with these nature loving excursions of course comes the threat of terrible tiny beasts...Friggin' Ticks!

When you see this great video of him out exploring in Hampden the other day and bringing to light his latest find, you'll soon be enlivened by his passion. It was beautifully shot and produced.

This may be the most beautiful to come out of this endless winter we've been having here in Maine. A science teacher at Greenville High School in the Moosehead region took his students to the outdoor classroom recently. Together they created something amazing in the snowfield.
