State Police Seek Wanted Felon Considered Armed and Dangerous
Maine State Police are looking for a suspect wanted in connection with several burglaries, who they say is most likely armed and dangerous.
Shaine Johnson is a wanted felon, who police say recently stole a vehicle and is wanted on multiple violations. The stolen vehicle was found this morning abandoned in a wooded area, off the turnpike in Saco, but there was no sign of Johnson. Officials say he's known to stay on both Lisbon Street in Lewiston and on Jackson Street in Sanford.
Johnson is currently wanted on seven active sets of bail conditions for crimes including multiple felony thefts, multiple burglaries, illegal possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, and violating conditions of release. Police say he's alleged to have been involved in numerous burglaries over the last few months. While he was being sought in connection with a warrant for another felony burglary he allegedly committed, Wells Police took a complaint about the stolen vehicle.
State Police say Johnson is known to carry firearms and should not be approached by the public. Anyone with information about his whereabouts is urged to contact the Maine State Police, your local sheriff's office, or your local police department.
