According to a post on the department's Facebook page, officials have received several complaints of shots fired at homes in the area of Friendship and Cushing. The bullets have broken out windows in the homes, damaged mailboxes, and street signs.

Knox County residents are asked to be alert to any unusual happenings and report anything that seems out of place. In addition, people are urged to lock their vehicles when unattended, even when they're sitting in the driveway, and keep homes locked at all times.

Anyone with information about the shots fired is encouraged to contact Detective Donald Murray at (207) 594-0429, extension 723.
