Small Earthquake Shakes Parts Of Maine
A small earthquake was reported Monday morning here in Maine.
The US Geological Survey recorded a small earthquake in Maine Monday morning. The quake measured at 2.2 in Magnitude, about four miles north of Mount Vernon.
According to Maine.gov, "small earthquakes are common in Maine. In a typical year, Maine has several small earthquakes, most of which are too small to feel but a few of which may be felt locally."
The strongest quake to rattle Maine was back in 1904, at a magnitude of 5.1.
