However, without dispute, the year before saw a country act in the spotlight. On January 28th, 2003, Shania Twain, hailed as the Queen of Country Pop, headlined the halftime show alongside Sting and No Doubt.

Despite that, the halftime show has not featured a country act since that time. The absence of country performers has marked a notable shift in the halftime entertainment choices for the Super Bowl. While various artists from diverse genres have taken the stage in the years following, the representation of country music has been notably absent, leaving fans of this genre awaiting a return to the Super Bowl halftime show spotlight.

There might be a slight recency bias, given that all these artists have performed in Bangor within the past two years. But their talent makes it no surprise that they're the preferred picks!

Typically, the announcement for the Super Bowl halftime show arrives in September. As a result, we can anticipate its arrival any day now.
