It was my first day on the job, and to help integrate me into the station, Scott and Cindy had me on the Q106.5 Morning Show. They decided to have a little fun and introduced me to the listeners by asking a series of questions. You know, the usual stuff like "Are you a dog or a cat person?" and "Where do you see yourself in 5 years?"

When the topic of my favorite artist came up, with only a little hesitation, I said what I said, and it came straight from the heart. Respectfully.

Just want to make it very clear that my dog was named "Gabby" before I ever knew about Ms. Barrett. That's just a coincidence, not a concerning red flag.

I had the pleasure of seeing Gabby Barrett and her incredible talent firsthand when she came to Bangor alongside Thomas Rhett and Cole Swindell in August 2021. Gabby put on a fantastic show, and I have no doubt she'll bring that same energy tonight when she takes the stage at the Maine Savings Amphitheater alongside Kane Brown and Restless Road.

Somehow, here's the ONLY picture that I took from that show. That's her... somewhere in there.

As I settle into my role on the Q106.5 daily lineup, I'm reminded of the joy and laughter that comes from these quirky, live moments. And let's face it, who wouldn't want to be known as the guy who unabashedly professed his love for Gabby Barrett? You know, if that is what love is, of course.

It’s always fun to take a trip down memory lane together and remember that unforgettable moment when I let the world know just how much I adore Gabby Barrett. And tonight, as she graces the stage at the Maine Savings Amphitheater alongside Kane Brown, I know that she’s going to instill that same feeling in folks that I felt back in 2021.
