A collision between a horse-drawn wagon and a pickup injured a man and his horse.

Police have not released the identity of the man operating the horse-drawn wagon.

The pickup truck was driven by Lindsay Duffy-Stanley, 42, of Benedicta.
Sherman, Maine Horse-Drawn Wagon Was Struck By a Pickup Truck
Maine Department of Public Safety Spokesperson Shannon Moss says it was just before 8:00 a.m. on Friday when Maine State Police Troopers responded to the crash on Benedicta Road in Sherman.
When they arrived, they found a 2003 Toyota pickup truck and a heavily-damaged horse-drawn wagon.
An initial investigation indicated the two vehicles were traveling in the same direction when Duffy-Stanley of Benedicta, tried to pass the wagon.
Sherman, Maine Horse-Drawn Wagon Operator Injured in Crash With Pickup
When there wasn't enough room, the pickup struck the wagon and the male operator was ejected. He was taken to Houlton Regional Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The horse sustained a laceration to its leg and foot.
Officials say the wagon was destroyed in the crash.
Duffy-Stanley was not hurt in the crash. Police cited her for driving to endanger.
