Lisbon Police Ask for Help Identifying an Armed Robbery Suspect
Police are asking for the public's help identifying the person who robbed the Rusty Lantern at gunpoint.
Lisbon Police were called to the Rusty Lantern Market on Lisbon Street, just before 6:00 Saturday morning. The store clerk reported to police that a man had walked into the store, pulled out a handgun, and demanded 'everything.' He then fled the store with an undisclosed amount of money. Officials say the suspect is over 6' tall and was wearing a bright yellow Under Armor sweatshirt, a blue ski mask, gloves, dark-colored pants, and white sneakers.
These images were pulled from the store's surveillance footage. Police are hoping that someone will recognize the clothing or some other distinguishing characteristic and help them identify the suspect. They're also asking that anyone in the Lisbon Falls area, who has video cameras review their footage and see if they might have images of the suspect.
Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Detective Richard St. Amant at the Lisbon Police Department, 207-353-2500, extension 1.
Also responding to the robbery report were members of the Androscoggin and Sagadahoc County Sheriff's Departments and Topsham Police.
We'll update this story as more details become available.
