Portland Police have arrested a 22-year-old man after finding his father murdered.

Officers were dispatched to conduct a well-being check at 17 Carleton Street in Portland Tuesday morning, at approximately 10:50. When they arrived, they found 50-year-old Salim Al Siraj, who was deceased. The manner of his death had not been revealed but it was ruled a homicide.

After an investigation, police arrested Abdallah Salim Al Siraj, 22, who is the victim's son. He has been charged with murder.

Police are still investigating and hope to hear from anyone who believes they may have information about this case. Residents are asked to call 207-874-8575.
