
Guinness World Record Holder to Compete in Maine’s Moxie Chugging Contest
The contest scheduled for the annual weekend festival celebrating Maine’s favorite soda has some serious competition.

The Moxie Chugging Competition is scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday, July 11th, at the Lisbon High School Main Stage during this year’s Moxie Festival in Lisbon.
The contest is open to ages 18 and older, with competitors trying to drink the most Moxie in two minutes, while following rules that include no outside help and immediate disqualification for vomiting.

BadlandsChugs, whose real name is Eric Booker, is among the competitors expected at this year’s Moxie Chugging Contest.
Booker is known for competitive drinking challenges, holds Guinness World Records, and has won multiple Nathan’s Famous Lemonade Chug titles.
Holding multiple Guinness World Records for competitive drinking, Booker has posted the fastest times to drink one liter, two liters, and four liters of soda.
His official records include one liter of soda in 6.80 seconds, two liters in 18.45 seconds, and four liters in 29.64 seconds, along with a Guinness-listed record for drinking one liter of tomato sauce in 1 minute, 18 seconds.

And there you have it! Eric Booker, professionally known as BadlandsChugs, will compete in this year’s Moxie Chugging Contest on Saturday, July 11th.
