
Bangor, Maine Police Have a Busy Monday with Disturbing Incidents
Two incidents on Monday kept Bangor Police busy dealing with alleged attacks on others, including a bizarre incident at a downtown coffee shop.
Bangor, Maine Man Accused of Domestic Violence and Criminal Restraint
Bangor Police arrested Harold English, in an incident that began on Basketball Court.
English is charged with:
- Domestic violence assault
- Criminal restraint
- Refusal to submit to arrest or detention
- Assault
He was taken to the Penobscot County Jail after reportedly offering resistance to the police.
Bangor, Maine Man Allegedly Forced a Woman Into a Vehicle and Fled From the Police
The incident began with reports to the police just before 1:30 Monday afternoon that a man was allegedly putting hands on a woman and dragging her into an apartment on Basketball Court.

As Officer Jared Fox rushed to the scene, he was informed that new reports claimed the man had forced the woman into a vehicle and left the scene.
Officer Fox located a vehicle matching the description given to the police and followed it onto Husson Avenue, eventually catching up to it on Cynthia Avenue, where English was taken into custody.
Bangor, Maine Police Say a Transient Allegedly Assaulted Coffee Shop Employees
In a separate incident, Bangor Police arrested Tyler Corliss, transient, for the following charges:
- Assault
- Violation of conditions of release
He was also taken to the Penobscot County Jail.
This incident started with officers being called to a coffee shop on Main Street, where a man was reportedly chasing employees and throwing things at them.
Officer Curtis Grenier went to the location and found Corliss, who had six sets of bail conditions.
An investigation into the incident revealed that Corliss had allegedly chased one of the employees out of the store.
Police say Corliss believed he was moving items with supernatural powers, but surveillance video showed that he was actually throwing the items at staff members, hitting one employee.
