Five more people have been arrested for a deadly shooting in Portland, while one remains at large.

Portland Police Arrested 5 Additional Suspects, After Arrested 1 in August

The suspects taken into custody this week for the July 30th shooting include:

  • Kaleb Cidre, 22, of Windham
  • Jason J. Keenan, 45, of Bath
  • James D. Moody, 30, of Bowdoin
  • Caleb S. Pelkey, 33, of Portland
  • Nathan T. Walsh of Lewiston

All five suspects are charged with one count of conspiracy to commit elevated aggravated assault and two counts of elevated aggravated assault.

47-year-old Aaron Karp of Naples was arrested on August 8, 2024, and charged with murder.

Four People Were Shot in Portland, 1 of Whom Died of Her Injuries

The charges stem from an incident on July 30, 2024, on Forest Avenue in Portland. Just before 9 pm, the police were called to the 1110 block, an area known as Morrills Corner, for a report of a shooting. Four people were injured and taken to Maine Medical Center. Susan McHugh, 54, of Gray was one of those individuals and she later died from her injuries.

Portland Police say one suspect remains at large and is considered armed and dangerous. Kristofer G. Haken of Londonderry, New Hampshire is 5'9" tall, 220 pounds, with blonde hair, and blue eyes. Haken is believed to be associated with the Outlaws Motorcycle Club. Police say if anyone sees him, they should not approach him but contact the police immediately.
