A Bangor police officer interrupted an alleged violent domestic assault while it was in progress.

Bangor, Maine Man Faces Domestic Violence Charges

Jesse Ramsdel, 28, of Bangor, faces the following charges:

  • Domestic violence aggravated assault
  • Domestic Violence assault
  • Criminal Mischief
  • Criminal restraint

He was taken to the Penobscot County Jail.

Bangor, Maine Police Officer Intervenes in Alleged Domestic Violence Incident

The incident began at approximately 5:15 a.m. Wednesday, when a resident called police to report a female yelling for help. They said the cries were coming from a nearby home.

Bangor Police Officer Casey Walden responded to the area and witnessed Ramsdell allegedly assaulting a woman, who was calling for help.

Walden entered the house and stopped the alleged attack.

An investigation into the incident revealed that the victim had been choked and restrained,and a child in the residence had also been assaulted.
