Police Seize 14 Pounds Of Meth Being Brought To Maine From NY
Two men face up to 40 years in prison after police seized 14 pounds of meth from their vehicle.
Law enforcement officials had been tipped off about the drugs being brought into Maine from New York City. WMTW-TV reports a State Police Trooper pulled over a black Cadillac for a traffic violation on Sunday. Police and drug agents searched the vehicle and found the methamphetamine.
Arrested were 55-year-old Robert Poliero of Presque Isle and 38-year-old Edward Barnes of Easton. They're charged with intent to distribute 50 grams or more of meth. If convicted, each man faces between 5 and 40 years in federal prison.
