Maine State Police continue to investigate the disappearance of a Fairfield woman who was last seen in the parking lot of the Skowhegan Wal-Mart on Aug. 30.

Investigators say Valerie Tieman, 34, was sitting a pickup truck outside the store while her husband, Luc Tieman, was inside the store.

When Luc Tieman returned to the truck his wife was missing.

State police said in a news release on Friday that detectives have received a few calls from the public regrading the search for the missing woman. Police said they hope to receive more of those calls.

Detectives continue to review Wal-Mart surveillance video and financial records and have conducted interviews with family and friends of the missing woman.

Valerie Tieman was reported missing on Sept. 9 by her parents, who live in South Carolina.

In an interview, Luc Tieman said his wife has “run off” before, but wouldn’t elaborate further.

Anyone with information on the possible whereabouts of Valerie Tieman is asked to call state police in Augusta at 624-7076.
