
Police: Bangor Woman Was Hitchhiking When Struck, Killed By Vehicle
Police said a Bangor woman was apparently hitchhiking when she was struck and killed by a passing vehicle Thursday afternoon in Orrington.
Megan E. McGraw, 34, of Bangor, was apparently hitchhiking on the southbound side of Rt. 15 in Orrington when she was struck by a Ford Explorer driven by Kelli Veilleux, 45, of Bucksport.
The impact of the crash killed McGraw.

The crash happened at approximately 5:38 p.m.
The Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office is reconstructing and mapping the scene. The road was closed for several hours. The Orrington Fire Department assisted with the crash and road closures.
Investigators are still working the case.
