Penobscot ATVers Benefit for Alzheimers in Lincoln
Penobscot Off Road Riders Trail Master Justin Russel is a friend of the Q106.5 Morning Show.
And 3 years ago he started an event called Riding for Memories. It is a fun, fund-raising ride to benefit Alzheimers, and is in memory of his girlfriend’s momma Eva Lee and for everyone who has been affected by this terrible disease.
It’s more than just a ride. It is also a Pig Roast. The date is Saturday August 21st.
Here’s the run down on that day. Everyone is to meet at the Penobscot Off Road Riders club house which is 35 Osgood Lane in Lincoln. There will be 3 different routes for ATVers, all beginning at 10 a.m., so your arrival at the club time should keep that in mind.
The Pig Roast open to both riders and non riders will be back at the club between 4:30 and 6 p.m. The pig has been donated, so even more money will go the cause. Last year the ride and roast raised $1,000 and this year the expectation is even more. And it’s not just a pig roast. Burgers and Hot Dogs, and salads and homemade desserts and more. The cost for the riders and non riders is $10. Again all the money goes to Alzheimers. Senior price is $7. $5 for kids between 5 and 10 years old and free for under 5.
There will also be a Door Prize to someone just for being part of the event, and also at least a dozen raffles of gift cards for food and oil changes etc. And just to keep it festive live music during the Pig Roast.

Hope you can participate in what sounds like a great day, for a great cause.
