The owners of Nicky's Cruise-In Diner in Bangor announced today they will close the restaurant at the end of the month.

Nicky's is the latest eatery to close during the pandemic. While the owners don't cite this as a reason for the decision, the long closure can't have been easy for them.

A favorite destination, Nicky's boasted a vintage interior with everything from antique gas pumps to celebrity memorabilia. In years past, classic car and motorcycle cruise-ins were held on a weekly basis, prompting the name 'Cruise-In Diner.' My son and I used to go to the classic car shows every week, and were hoping for more, to share with his sons this summer.

We're sad to see Nicky's go, and will miss their huge breakfast plates and seafood platters. The post on the restaurant's Facebook page, says they will close their doors on June 30, 2020.
