I know you think you read that wrong, but you didn't.
Years ago, my wife and I were buying our first house, and we joked about putting a room in our basement that we could destroy things. Like go and clean out Goodwill of all their cheap dishes and plates and glasses, then have a spot in the house where we could absolutely destroy them all, in the name of releasing anger, haha.
It's sunny, because I remember reading years later, that in other cities around the country, it was becoming quite a thing. There were places popping up all over, offering a safe place for the destruction of all your pent-up aggressions. I loved the idea of being able to go somewhere, and just break things with a hammer until I was tired.
Now you can actually do that, just down the road a smidge.
But it's true... According to WABI, The Rage Room in Winslow really does want you to show up, perhaps pick up a sledge hammer, and start breaking everything around you. For real! It's a spot for you to take out all your frustrations in the world, in a safe place to do it. It totally sounds road trip-worthy in every way to me.
At The Rage Room, they'll make sure you have safety goggles, gloves, and a face covering for your protection. Lord knows there's going to be a lot of flying... well, everything! All manner of broken stuff will be airborne.
Fun fact: Women have been signing up in droves. Not that it's just for men at all, but women, according to manager Monica Stanton, are bringing in big business. It can cost as little as $20 for 20 minutes, if you bring in your own breakables. And there are several pricing options to check out.
