I have a bunch of friends who live on the outskirts of Hampden, and for a couple years they were all raving about the awesome Chinese food at Neally's Corner Store. Sadly, I haven't had a chance to get out and try it. Which is unlike me, because I love to try new spots. Especially one that is a bit out of the way, that not everyone knows about.

And now, sadly, I will no longer have the chance. According to a post on their Facebook page, they have decided to close the doors. Citing a desire to spend more time with family, they will be shutting down on the 23rd of this month.

Judging by some of the responses to the post, a lot of folks that live out in that area, the corner of Kennebec Road and Route 69, are super bummed at the thought of having to be without the convenience in their neighborhood. Neally's is also a convenience store, so many locals depended on it as a spot they could pick up sundry items on demand. Everybody needs a quick and easy spot to get some milk on the way home.

It does appear they are looking to lease the space out to any interested parties that might want to take a stab at being their own boss. Having owned two of my own businesses over the years, I can promise you it's a lot of long hours and hard work, but both of which can be extremely rewarding.

The good news is, we do have a few days left to get out there and show them some love out at Neally's. Maybe I'll see you there!
